what to do with hurtful comments?

It is comments like these that make me not tell people I'm pregnant till after 12 weeks.
A friend of mine whose hubby is also in the defence force called out of the blue. she has had trouble with fertility. Tried for 3 yrs for her first who is an IVF baby. and is pregnant with her second who she had two near miscarriages with. I know she saw the same doctor that i have just been referred to so i asked her if she was any good. she got suspicious ( thinking i was pregnant and hadn't told her.) So i said i had just miscarried again( she knew about the first one). she said " life happens and you've got to stop being blue about it". hurtful comments like these are why women don't talk openly about miscarriage. My angel babies were wanted and are very much loved. I will always miss them.

  1. I think a lot of people dont know what to say. So they say the wrong thing :(

I can understand how hurtful those comments would be!!

  2. That disgusts me. I cannot stand it when people are so insensitive. In the real world (not the blogging community) I have found that more often than not, people are insensitive. After my miscarriage, people thought I was nuts for mourning it for so long. I could write a book about the mean things that people have said to me.

This lady just sounds like the kind of person that you should stay away from, especially right now. I am sorry that she was so hurtful.
